We are looking for talented Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineers who want to lead project teams, do exciting work, and make a big impact.
Across the entire business, we're building on top of what's already been a highly successful period of growth. Our strategy within the Water division for AMP 8 is creating a number of new exciting opportunities in the business. We partner with the top water clients across the UK, working on some of the largest, most iconic water projects in the industry. We promise to design with community in mind by reducing environmental impacts and improving social impacts, whilst enabling the delivery of sustainable development and infrastructure projects that adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change.
Currently, we are looking for Design Leads with a background in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering to join our team in Newcastle. As Project Technical Lead, you will play a fundamental role within projects to identify innovative and sustainable solutions, plan technical delivery, and lead the multidisciplinary team from concept stage through to final implementation. You will work alongside Project Managers to deliver best value and client service excellence, whilst utilising Stantec's world-class expertise to help you deliver leading-edge design.
With our diversified business lines and continued growth, Stantec offers many opportunities from challenging local projects benefiting local communities to global projects where you can learn from others and gain new experiences along the way.

To be considered for this role, you will be a degree qualified (or equivalent) engineer and you will ideally be chartered or a member of a relevant engineering institution e.g., ICE. Support can be given to achieve this if required. You will also have a strong engineering background in the water industry or experience in a similar role.
We have opportunities for differing levels of seniority, so if you are looking to kick-start your leadership career, we'll support you on your journey.
