Up to £65,000 + Benefits
South West Devon | Hybrid 2 days in office
We are very proud to be working with our client who is on a mission to showcase great places to stay in the UK. From a small South West holiday letting company to one of the largest in the industry and now nationally. This is a company passionate about their team, and it feels very much like a family business which is very special to find.
The role requires an experienced Finance Manager with an extensive background in managing shared services, a proven background in supporting new systems, and a commitment to improving processes while leading your team with learning and development to ensure your department delivers the best service internally and to external suppliers.
As the Finance Manager, you will need to be passionate about what you do and have a common-sense approach to getting things done. Inevitably, things go wrong from time to time, and we do everything we can to make it right. We learn from it and adapt, remembering to stay curious and never stop evolving. Is this you?
What will I be doing?
As the Head of Finance Operations, you will be responsible for delivering scalable finance operations covering key transactional processes including Purchase to Pay (P2P).
You will provide a best-in-class finance operations service to finance stakeholders as well as other business-wide stakeholders such as the Homeowner Management team, Customer Service teams, and the Managed Services teams through regularly monitored SLAs and KPIs. You will also implement and maintain Accounts Payable policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
As part of your everyday role, you're likely to be involved in the following:
1. Reviewing end-to-end process maps and suggesting and implementing improvements to enhance efficiencies in transaction processing.
2. Defining a KPI suite to track the performance of key transactional processes and P2P financial metrics, setting agreed targets and thresholds, and driving mitigating actions for any areas predicted to deviate from thresholds.
3. Agreeing SLAs with the Senior Leadership team (SLT), including key heads within the Finance team and other key business stakeholders.
4. Defining a KPI suite to track performance against the agreed SLAs.
5. Delivering daily, weekly, and monthly deliverables for the FD.
6. Leading a scalable and lean Finance Operations team using efficient processes and automation to ensure best-in-class service while maintaining a sufficient but low growth cost base.
7. Working on continuous improvements and other finance projects as required.
What are we looking for?
We know that the perfect candidate who ticks every box doesn't exist, so if you're excited by the role and can do most of the below, please get in touch - you could be exactly what we need!
Ideally, we're looking for:
1. Deep knowledge of best-in-class O2C and P2P processes and delivery frameworks.
2. A strong leader driving a high-quality and on-time delivery mindset while developing and supporting the team through continuous improvement.
3. KPI and target focus, instilling urgency within the team to resolve issues and seize opportunities.
4. A strong communicator with the ability to influence across functions not only within finance but across the business.
5. Experience delivering in an agile, fast-paced environment.
6. Experience using data and KPI dashboards to understand performance and make recommendations for change.
7. Experience in root cause analysis and resolution.
