Shifts will be set between the operating hours of 6.30am – 9:30pm Monday to Friday and Weekends between 7am and 6pm. Shifts will be available at Brighouse Pool and Fitness Centre, Sowerby Bridge Pool and Fitness Centre, and Todmorden Sports Centre.
Calderdale Sports Services operate leisure facilities in Halifax, Todmorden, Brighouse, and Sowerby Bridge. We are looking for staff to cover holiday and sickness of permanent staff and spare shifts that are available when staff perform other roles within the Centre.
You will assist in the efficient and safe operation of the facility, providing a high level of customer service at all times. You need to be attentive to the needs of the customer, confident, and possess good communication skills. Customer service is at the heart of the business.
Duties include lifeguarding the pool, setting up equipment, and general cleaning of the facility. Supervision of the gym and other centre activities and verbal interaction with the general public will also be required.
The RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is essential; experience in a similar environment or customer service industry is an advantage.

Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
