We are currently recruiting for a Technical Support to join our Technical Services Department based at our Head Office, just outside Abergavenny. This role will be permanent and full time. Your normal hours of work will be working a shift pattern of 4 days on followed by four days off working a maximum average of 48 hours per shift. You may think you know how an ATM works: you put your card in, type your pin number and the machine dispenses cash. You may not know however that each and every machine has a connection to the internet, either by a broadband connection like your home internet, or a GPRS connection just like your mobile phone This internet connection links the machine to a national network that allows it to process cash transactions and achieve our goal of providing our customers with cash, whenever they need it. This role is involved in the set up and maintenance of these internet connections, through a TCP/IP connection. You will act as a first point of contact for technical queries from both internal and external customers. You will learn about set-up, troubleshooting and remote technical maintenance of ATMs all over the UK. As a key part of our operations division, this is an exciting, challenging and highly rewarding role. You will begin your career with us working Monday to Friday 08:30am to 17:00 whilst you receive training in your role. Upon completion of your training period you will change to our ‘4-on-4-off’ shift pattern, working 12 hour days. Your duties will include; Basic broadband router configuration; Stock maintenance on an in-house system for the movement of routers throughout the UK; Tracking and troubleshooting faults on the different telecommunications networks; Daily spreadsheet work; Taking calls from engineers and other departments to support the resolution of technical issues. The Right Candidate: The successful applicant would be an excellent team player, with good attention to detail and an aptitude to learning new systems. The applicant should be highly organised and able to maintain a high work rate in a busy technical call centre environment. You should be able to work on multiple projects at the same time and push these projects forward, liaising with colleagues and supervisors regularly for updates and assistance. You should be technically minded, but advanced experience is not necessary as this role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious candidate to gaining real-life experience in a highly niche and technical role and hard-to-match training in a company where the work you do has a real operational impact every day. What We Offer in Return: At NoteMachine we pride ourselves on the benefits that we can offer our staff. So, in return for your hard work and professionalism we offer: A competitive salary with a rise after completion of your probationary period; Full job training to ensure you are well equipped to perform your duties to the best of your ability; Annual leave entitlement of 22 days per annum.
