If so, then we want to hear from you We are seeking to recruit experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support KS2 pupils at a lovely primary school in Ripley Derbyshire.The ultimate aim being to work to eradicate the barriers to their learning so that they can flourish socially, emotionally and academically. The position is full time, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate Key responsibilities: - Provide support and assistance to individuals with additional needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, and learning delay in the mainstream classroom and the wider school - Assist with daily activities and routines, including personal care, mealtime, and recreational activities where required - Implement behaviour support plans and strategies to promote positive behaviours - Collaborate with a team of professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) - Work closely with the school SENCO and class teacher to create effective interventions for pupils - Support individuals in developing social skills and fostering independence - Celebrate progress and development Experience/requirements: - Experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs within the Education or Social Care sector - Knowledge of toddler care and early childhood development is desirable - Familiarity with special education practices and strategies - Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of all ages and abilities - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail To qualify for the higher end of the pay scale, you must have a recognised teaching assistant qualification with experience in primary schools.
