The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid role that will be based at a site in Leatherhead.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Are you passionate about enhancing infrastructure and supporting live systems? We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Infrastructure Implementation & Configuration Specialist. This role will focus on the implementation and configuration of infrastructure improvements, maintaining deployment environments, and supporting changes to live systems when needed. If you're proactive, with a knack for problem-solving and a strong technical background, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement and configure infrastructure enhancements to ensure system efficiency and scalability.
2. Maintain and manage deployment environments.
3. Provide support for changes to live systems when required.
4. Produce clear and concise technical documentation as needed.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
1. Scripting: Proficiency in scripting, preferably with PowerShell.
2. Server Maintenance: Hands-on experience with Windows server maintenance.
3. SQL Server: High-level expertise in managing and maintaining SQL Server.
4. Networking/Communications: Strong understanding of network and communication systems.
Desired Competencies:
1. SQL: Experience with SQL, preferably SQL Server.
2. General Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with platforms such as SANs, McAfee, NetBackup, WSUS, and other infrastructure technologies.
3. A proven track record in infrastructure configuration and maintenance.
4. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
5. Ability to work both independently and within a team.
6. Excellent communication skills, with experience in technical documentation.
