Benenden Health has exciting opportunities for a Company Secretary with comprehensive experience of working in corporate governance, ideally in a similar role and preferably in the regulated insurance or financial services sector Reporting into the Chief Risk Officer the role will:- Ensure that Benenden Health and its subsidiaries adheres to legal and regu latory requirements. Maintain high standards of corporate governance. Effectively communicate between the board of directors and executive management Accountable for providing company secretariat services to the Group. Working with the Head of Governance and Risk to ensure that governance and compliance activities are aligned and support the business strategy. Delivery of corporate governance support and policy framework to the Group. Manage Benenden Health s Annual General Meeting, including the preparation of notices and resolutions Support the chair of each Board in ensuring that the Board functions efficiently and effectively Arranging Board and Board Committee meetings including issuing of notices of meetings Skills and Experience Comprehensive experience working in corporate governance, ideally in a similar role and preferably in the regulated insurance or financial services sector. Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles and regulatory requirements. Preferred member of the Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) or equivalent qualification. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to influence at all levels. Confident communicator with comprehensive organisational skills and close attention to detail. A proactive professional and productive approach. Solution-focused and innovative in overcoming complex challenges and managing change. High degree of discretion and professionalism The Benenden Health office is based in York and whilst there will be an opportunity to work from home, this role is offered on a hybrid basis and there will be requirement of a weekly attendance at the office.
