Full-time Description Job Summary Responsible for managing and administering environmental, facilities and health and safety programs and activities to meet our regulatory requirements, corporate initiatives and Company objectives of our Hereford distribution center, whilst working in alignment of our wider UK EHS team. Overseeing the operations and maintenance of the facility systems, through effective planning and coordinating of sub-coordinators and suppliers in the delivery of planned preventive maintenance. Ensuring that health and safety regulatory requirements are satisfied, including assessments, plans and training. Ensure the Company’s environmental performance meets its policy commitments, complies with UK environmental regulations and supports tender specific requirements. Essential Job Functions Coordinating and planning essential business services such as maintenance, archiving, mailing, cleaning, waste disposal, security, and fleet management. Ensuring that buildings and facilities meet the required health and safety requirements and government legislation. Monitoring contractors and checking that the work assigned to workers and contractors is completed in a satisfactory manner. Responding quickly to emergencies that arise in workplaces and dealing with them appropriately. Monitoring workplace EHS activities to ensure that employees comply with Company policies and safety regulations. EHS policy development, audits (internal and external), safety inspections, equipment testing, safety training and compliance. Regularly review and update Company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures and Safety Statement. Responsible for communicating EHS information across the Company. Investigate, record and report accidents, incidents and near-misses promptly, ensuring any corrective actions and management outcomes are implemented without delay. Manage and co-ordinate Safety Audits and related systems to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Manage and co-ordinate induction and training requirements for all employees and sub-contractors and maintain documentary evidence. Identify new and on-going H&S training requirements, ensuring all mandatory training is reviewed and delivered on time. Update and prepare paperwork for all Audits, Certifications and Accreditations relating to health & safety and the environment. Review sub-contractors' Safety Policies and Safety Compliance. Prepare EHS tender submissions.
