This post is based at Prince Charles Eye Unit, King Edward VII Hospital, St Leonards Road, Windsor, SL4 3DP - and attracts a Fringe payment of 5% of gross basic salary.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Prince Charles Eye Unit in Windsor. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they have completed their Band 2 competencies and are working towards their Band 3 competencies.
You will assist colleagues from Doctors to Nurses to reception staff in delivering a safe and efficient service. You will also need to obtain clinical skills to work in various areas of the department (Visual Acuity, Ocular pressures, Dilation, Ocular scans, Supporting within our Eye casualty & AMD injection services).

To work within a busy Outpatients department alongside our supportive and enthusiastic team. To develop Ophthalmic knowledge with in-house training. To ensure patients, visitors and colleagues are supported to ensure all patients visits to the unit run effectively and care needs are met.

Our dedicated ophthalmology team works within Prince Charles Eye Unit at King Edward VII Hospital (Windsor). Prince Charles Eye Unit was awarded “Team of the Year” at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust's CARE Awards 2024.
