Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading financial services client to recruit for an IT Category Manager.
The role:
As an IT Procurement Manager, you will be a key part of the Procurement Team. This position is wide-ranging and will involve partnering with key stakeholders of all levels of seniority across the company. As part of an ambitious and acquisitive organisation, you will be exposed to a range of responsibilities with genuine depth and variety.
Key accountabilities:
* Support IT and business procurement needs as a key member of the Group Procurement Team.
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the UK and beyond to understand business needs and incorporate them into strategy development and project delivery.
* Assist in building the IT Procurement plan, including proactively identifying savings/value opportunities aligned with organisational objectives.
* Support IT Business Partners on larger, complex projects with project management and analytics support.
* Negotiate and draft contracts.
* Monitor contract renewals, prepare strategies, and negotiate group standards, tools, and working practices to enhance supplier performance management.
* Assist in designing and implementing supplier management plans and conduct reviews for critical/strategic suppliers.
Skills and experience required:
* 3-5 years of IT and Procurement sourcing experience.
* Possession of CIPS qualification or part-qualified with a desire to attain MCIPS.
* Strong commercial and analytical skills.
* Ability to manage projects independently from initiation to completion.
