About the Role:
Our site in Carlisle is one of the biggest in our Meal Solutions division, employing around 1,200 people across three factories.
It’s a busy, fast-paced, complex site producing a wide range of chilled meals for retail customers, and this is a great opportunity to join a business offering plenty of variety and opportunities for progression.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading and developing your team, ensuring all KPIs and efficiency targets are achieved.
* Coaching and mentoring your team, working closely with them to drive performance, and improve engagement and morale.
* Proactively reviewing operational trends and performance metrics (eg, OEE, GMP), putting corrective actions in place to ensure delivery of the production plan.
* Identifying opportunities for improvements in your team, ensuring all colleagues are motivated and equipped to perform to the best of their ability.
* Promoting a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance to all HSE standards.
About You:
We are looking for a Production Manager who can deliver operational targets and also drive behavioural change and we’re keen to hear from anybody with the following skills and experience:
* Leading and improving production teams in a food manufacturing environment, preferably chilled.
* Results focused with demonstrable experience of successfully meeting KPIs and implementing new processes to drive improvements.
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, a ‘hands on’ manager who can motivate a team and engage with people to deliver change.
* Strong analytical skills, able to use data to make informed decisions and improve performance.
* Proactive and confident in approach, able to work well with colleagues at all levels across the business.
