Role Summary
As a Test Engineer, you'll be part of a dynamic team working with high-tech and cutting-edge systems, taking ownership of allocated products and ensuring they're fully tested and ready for delivery. You'll actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhance product quality, and support on-time project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Testing & Quality Assurance
2. Deliver fully functional and tested products while adhering strictly to test procedures.
3. Accurately document test results and ensure proper sign-off.
4. Improve product quality by capturing and reporting data for fault analysis (FRACAS).
5. Problem-Solving
6. Diagnose faults quickly and effectively down to the component level.
7. Propose actionable solutions for problems encountered during testing.
8. Process Improvement
9. Drive test time reduction through Continuous Improvement principles.
10. Actively promote and maintain 5S principles (organization and cleanliness).
11. Customer Interaction
12. Support customer pre-acceptance visits.
13. Occasionally assist with system installations and commissioning at customer sites.
14. Work closely with the Test Team Leader to meet manufacturing targets.
15. Contribute to a positive team environment and foster collaboration.
Required Qualifications & Skills
1. Education: Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (HND, HNC, or BTech Level 3).
2. Technical Ability: Proficient in following test procedures and diagnosing faults. IT literacy and awareness of Health & Safety standards.
3. Personal Attributes: Self-motivated team player who can work independently. High energy, enthusiasm, and customer focus. Innovative mindset with a commitment to seeing through changes and improvements.
4. Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work on a rotating shift pattern.
