QUALITY MANAGER
We are recruiting for a Quality Manager to work for our client who is located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
THE DUTIES OF A QUALITY MANAGER:
1. To assume head departmental responsibility and accountability for all Quality & ISO9001 functions across the site.
2. Manage the business to ensure the long-standing ISO9001:2015 accreditation is maintained including updating and developing all aspects of the QMS.
3. Manage all aspects of goods inwards, in-process and final quality inspection within the business to support manufacturing output in line with the financial budget.
4. To contribute to overseeing all supplier/internal reject quality documentation and completion of associated Performance Improvement reports (PIR’s) in a timely fashion.
5. Manage all internal rework identification and issuing including methods to ensure it is completed in the most expedient and cost-effective manner possible.
6. Manage Customer complaints by understanding the issues, addressing the corrective action by liaising with internal departments and ensuring the customer is kept updated throughout the investigative process.
7. To ensure company is Quality compliant across all Procurement platforms with the appropriate updating of client portals with associated qualifications and permits.
8. Manage in-house inspection resources to support the achievement of the Company’s customer service deadlines and OTIF delivery targets with the rest of the team.
9. Manage the annual calibration and recording of all measuring equipment for manufacturing and QC.
10. To ensure all internal manufacturing is QC checked in line with current ISO QAP’s and Work Instructions, updating where process improvements take place.
11. To review and interface with departments to ensure all Work instructions and QAP’s are developed into Standard Operating Procedures.
12. To develop, produce and maintain compliance with internal Welding procedure specification (WPS) and all welding qualifications.
13. To adapt and to take on board any future requests or tasks as reasonably requested from time to time.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:
1. ISO 9000:2015 auditing qualifications
2. Background in metallurgical and laboratory functions to ensure plate manufacturing is controlled within the business from a quality perspective.
3. Computer skills for Microsoft & ERP software experience
THE HOURS/ BENEFITS:
1. Hours: Mon-Thurs 08.30am - 05.00pm & Friday 08.30am - 03.30pm
2. Matched Company pension contribution up to 5%
3. 20 Days holidays + statutory days with additional 5 days in service
4. Free Death in service cover
THE PAY:
You will earn £40,000/annum dependent on experience.
