About the Role
Our client is seeking a Home Manager with a proven track record in delivering high-quality care, strong business acumen, and marketing skills. In this role, you will have the autonomy to guide the home towards an Outstanding CQC rating while leading our dedicated team.
As the Care Home Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the care home. As a regulated business, the candidate needs to be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and be familiar with all the relevant legislation and regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring that the home provides high-quality care and support to the care home residents, while meeting financial targets and maintaining full occupancy.
You will be supported externally by dedicated Operations and Central teams, and within the home you will have the support of a Deputy Manager and Administrator, as well as Hospitality and Housekeeping teams. These teams will collaborate with you to ensure smooth operations and exceptional care for our residents.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Culture: Provide leadership and direction to the home's staff team, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion, and empathy.
2. Team Management: Recruit, train, motivate, and retain a team of skilled care professionals committed to delivering person-centred care.
3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements, including those set by the CQC, and maintain excellent standards of care and support.
4. Financial Management: Manage the home's budget, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are effectively managed.
5. Marketing & Occupancy: Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan to maintain full occupancy and promote the home's services to potential residents, families, and stakeholders.
6. Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and all stakeholders, responding effectively to their needs and concerns.
7. Administrative Oversight: Oversee all records to ensure the home's administrative tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
8. Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and evaluate the home's performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
9. Risk Management: Manage and mitigate risks effectively, ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.
Skills and Attributes
1. Previous experience managing a nursing home.
2. Strong working knowledge of CQC standards with a proven record of working towards achieving Outstanding ratings.
3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external professionals, families, and visitors.
4. Proven marketing and business skills within the private care sector, running a commercially successful care home.
5. Enthusiasm and passion for developing high levels of person-centred care.
6. Ability to actively participate in the growth and development of the care service.
Education and Qualifications
NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience, desirable but not essential.
