What you will do in your working day
As part of the role, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting our pre-press operators in dealing with customer requirements.
* Processing customer artwork in PDF format.
* The design and maintenance of workflows, both automated and manual, to speed the passage of work from order to the making of printing plates (the next stage of the production process).
* You will also gain experience in direct dealings with clients regarding specifying and servicing their production requirements.
The training you will be getting
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the qualification obtained will be a L2 Print Operative Apprenticeship standard (pre-press pathway).
The apprentice will be given sufficient time to undertake their "off-the-job" requirement of the apprenticeship during their working hours.
Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both The Manson Group and the BPIF. You will be assigned a training coordinator to ensure that you have the best training available. Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit your individual needs and business needs. Most training and studying will be a combination of site-based and remote delivery.
