Our Client, an Engineering company, is seeking a Project Manager for a permanent position in Bristol or Warrington. This role is placed within the Nuclear, Construction, or highly regulated industry.
Role
As a Project Manager, you will be accountable for the delivery of the project and ensure the project scope is accurately defined, estimated, and changes to scope controlled throughout the project (NEC 3).
Main Responsibilities
1. Deliver the project safely and produce and implement the project execution plan concerning the distribution of work in line with client strategy for HPC.
2. Ensure the project is properly commercially managed - profit margin, cash flow/invoicing, customer approvals.
3. Manage the performance of key suppliers and subcontractors (internal and external) ensuring appropriate commercial arrangements are applied.
4. Own the baseline schedule and control estimate, project progress reporting including the % complete, reported actuals, forecast AFC, Earned Value, and agreed changes.
5. Ensure adequate project controls are employed for risk management and change control.
6. Act as the main interface with all stakeholders and internal/external customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction are maintained.
7. Liaise with and maintain regular contact with MEH Alliance construction and client project(s) leadership and represent the client in HPC meetings; must be fully committed to the nuclear safety culture and ensure that your actions do not cause harm in the future.
Experience & Qualifications
* Extensive experience in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Contractor experience.
* Good understanding of the principles of project management for construction.
* Experience dealing with clients and building client relationships.
* Experience of NEC3 or NEC4 Forms of contract management.
* Willingness to travel to Germany and France as per client needs.
* CCNSG - Essential.
* HNC Building Services / Equivalent / SMSTS / Equivalent / Microsoft Project Fundamentals.
