Pay: £12.90 per hour / £89.38 per day
Full-time: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Contract: Temporary, with potential for permanent offer (performance-dependent)
Start Date: 28 April 2025, continuing until the end of the academic year

As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support in both 1:1 and small group settings. You’ll work closely with students who may have social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties, as well as mental health challenges. We are looking for an individual with a deep understanding and passion for working with young people in education, especially those with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialist support to students in a variety of educational settings.
Work with students with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties (SEBD).
Provide tailored support in small group and 1:1 settings.
Work in a trauma-informed environment, using your expertise to adapt to each student's needs.
Help to create an inclusive learning environment to promote student success.
Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant with the following qualifications/skills (although not all are essential):
Team Teach Training (or other de-escalation training)
Positive Behaviour Management certification (or equivalent)
Background or understanding in Psychology, Behaviour Analysis, or special educational needs.
Trauma-informed practice knowledge/qualification.
Passionate about working with young people who have additional learning needs.
Ability to build strong rapport with students and staff.
