Business Development Manager As a Business Development Manager for us, you'll achieve pre-determined sales revenue targets by effectively selling the company’s portfolio of Payroll & HR products and services to prospective clients. Key responsibilities include: Drive new business through sales of our products and services and achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly revenue targets. Follow pre-determined sales process to ensure maximum conversion of opportunities. Self-generate appointments and attend client meetings on a weekly basis. Meetings to be made up of self-generated appointments, inbound leads, and outbound leads from telemarketing. Source and develop new prospects. Make telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to new prospects. Effectively demonstrate our solutions to prospects. Develop clear and effective written proposals for new revenue opportunities. Work closely with management to ensure you have the optimum solution for the prospect. Work closely with the implementation and operational teams to ensure effective and smooth onboarding of new clients. Ensure CRM system is accurate and up to date. Supply the management team with verbal and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services. Keep abreast of our product portfolio, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with the respective business areas. Participate in trade shows and conventions. Propose solution development requirements that best address end-user needs and continually improve our solutions. Skills and experience Experienced Business Development Manager who is used to working in a B2B sales environment. Experience in generating new business, well versed with the full sales cycle. Demonstrable success in (over)achieving weekly, monthly and quarterly revenue targets. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in an articulate, passionate and motivational way. Self-motivated, able to inspire and energise yourself to perform. Experience in HR/Payroll software sales desirable.
