What you will need to do Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews, across teams assigned to multiple projects. Ensure clarity in reporting by efficiently tracking progress and utilising mechanisms such as burndown reports and velocity metrics, advising on the resulting data and developing improvement steps. Work as the administrator of the Sprint boards, ensuring tickets are up to date and configured correctly. Coach team members on Agile principles and practices and guide the teams through planning, estimating, and forecasting sessions. Advise and coach the teams in best practices around self-organisation efficiency, resulting in performance and productivity improvements across the various projects. As a servant leader, facilitate the removal of blockers and bottlenecks, ensuring continuous improvement. Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency through producing and sharing information. Be an advocate for Agile thinking through mentoring and guidance, fostering a culture of continuous improvements. Be process driven, work within a framework of published standards and practices within the company. All other duties contributing to the successful control and management of the software development lifecycle. Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication within the team and with stakeholders. What experience do you need to have? Essential Minimum 3 year of experience as a Scrum Master. Minimum 5 years of experience working in an IT and software development environment. Mentorship or team leadership skills. Experience of co-ordinating teams supporting legacy applications as well as new technology and features. Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices. Excellent communication, coaching and interpersonal skills. Experience gained within an Agile environment, ideally with Agile tools including Confluence/Jira and Azure DevOps. Successful in establishing clear reporting metrics and velocity tracking. Experience of process development, enforcement, and documentation. Desirable Experience in introducing and establishing Agile Scrum practices. Experience in successfully managing multiple projects and teams with competing requirements and priorities. General conceptual understanding of programming and DB querying. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM). As a person Confident and experienced in supporting project leadership and driving process enforcement. Articulate, assertive and persuasive with the ability to use appropriate communication channels, adapting style and approach to suit the audience; able to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation. A people person, empathetic and approachable. Planning and definition capability with a pragmatic approach. Data driven, with strong analytical and facilitation skills to ensure business needs and effective solutions can be clearly and rapidly understood and delivered. Strong problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude to removing impediments. Flexibility in balancing business priorities with best practice. Highly productive with optimal time management skills.
