Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
We are seeking radiographers with sound radiographic experience, who will contribute positively and enthusiastically to the professional running and future development of the department. The post is suitable for a radiographer keen to experience a wide range of modalities and to support and develop the 7-day service whilst working with state-of-the-art equipment and optimising image techniques across clinical and research fields. The post would involve rotation through modalities such as CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology and General X-ray, to be discussed depending on individual experience and interests. Other rotations could be given consideration depending on individual experience and service requirements.
Out of hours, weekend working and night shifts will be required depending on rotations.
Main duties of the job
Radiographers will be required to work across modalities, including night shifts, weekend working, and on-call commitments. This would be on the base site of the Churchill Hospital, but could involve movement and working on a temporary basis across to other hospital sites within Oxford.
Rotation into modalities will be based on individual Radiographer experience and service requirements in the first instance, but in addition to the base rotation, consideration would be given individually based on experience and areas of interest.
The Churchill Radiology Department is within the Cancer and Haematology Centre, opened in 2009.
