We are proud to be partnering with an award-winning Housing Association with c. 1500 properties across the Midlands, as they look for a Governance Manager.
This will be a full-time position, with hybrid working (2/3 days home working) and they are willing to negotiate on the hourly rate dependent upon experience.
The ideal candidate will have corporate governance experience, preferably in the Social Housing sector.
Our client has asked us to emphasise that management experience is not required for this posistion.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Providing support to the Executive Committee to ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, governance, and compliance requirements
* Managing and maintaining the Strategy and Policy Review Framework schedule, ensuring timely reviews
* Providing administrative support to maintain and update the Risk Register
* Providing comprehensive PA support, including diary management, arranging meetings, handling confidential correspondence, and organising travel arrangements
* Identifying, monitoring and evaluating data processing activities, train staff on compliance issues, perform audits, and incorporate legal changes to ensure compliance
* Coordinating the annual appraisal process and training programs for Board and Committee members, including arranging travel and accommodations for external training and events
Working hours:
* 35 hours per week
* Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
