As Multi-skilled Technician the main purpose of the role is to support the design and built of development pilot rigs, perform mechanical engineering maintenance tasks to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operation of the pilot plant activities. Equally the individual will be trained to operate a 3D printer and CNC machine to support the innovation of new components

Your responsibilities:
Providing a skilled execution of Planned, Reactive & Corrective Mechanical maintenance activities to ensure the ongoing reliability of mechanical equipment across the pilot plant
Effective problem solving and mechanical fault diagnosis skills, adhering to identified work priorities to ensure that customers and stakeholders are supported in their daily operational needs
Identifying and carrying out occasional pilot plant modification work to help enhance plant safety and improve efficiency
Conducting Inspections, testing, adjustments and monitoring tasks as required to maintain efficient pilot process and build-in equipment reliability.
Updating the CMMS with work progress
Identifying and ordering spares as required for work tasks to maintain critical stock levels.
Cooperating and collaborating with other team members to continually drive our proactive engineering programme, participate in failure investigations, identify and report back reliability issues within the plant.
Interpreting technical drawings for planning, executing and specifying material to support job duties
Requirements for the role:
Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship /relevant vocational training (typical minimum 1 year) - Essential
Preferably qualified HNC, C&G, B-TECH in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. - Desirable
Demonstrates basic mechanical and electrical aptitude - Essential
Experience of large-scale complex manufacturing facilities/plants - Desirable
Experience of structured problem-solving techniques - Desirable
Ability to read and comprehend basic mechanical drawings - Desirable
