SUMMARY
We are seeking a Quality / Continuous Improvement Engineer for a prominent company located in Central Pennsylvania, known for its high-quality manufacturing and product solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead and implement quality and continuous improvement strategies, evaluate processes, and ensure quality standards are met, improved, and exceeded. Identify potential quality issues and proactively implement solutions.
2. Enable faster, smarter, and safer business processes.
3. Identify, analyze, and evaluate technologies to ensure they are up to date in quality and safety.
4. Create documentation for findings and recommendations.
5. Communicate regularly with production leadership and plan and prioritize projects while garnering leadership support for these activities.
6. Monitor and analyze quality performance of incoming materials and outgoing products.
7. Investigate and respond to customer complaints.
8. Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
9. Assist the engineering team to help the plant operate at its peak efficiency.
10. Assist the engineering team as needed in the development and management of capital projects, systems, and equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and/or a combination of education and on-the-job experience.
2. Minimum of 5 years of work in a similar capacity.
3. Experience in a manufacturing environment.
4. Experience producing quantifiable savings and quality improvement in manufacturing.
5. Lean experience with Six Sigma.
6. ISO Certification.
7. Ability to work independently with very limited supervision.
8. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company.
9. Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
12. Firm understanding of continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
