White Cross Vets, Roundhay, Leeds, Yorkshire & The Humber
Up to £70,000 DOE, Relocation Allowance up to £5000
We are looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at White Cross Vets in Roundhay. We are a well-established first opinion Small Animal practice in North Leeds - we have 2 full-time vets plus our Clinical Director, Karen, who has been with us since we opened in 2012! We also have 6 RVN’s, 2 VCA’s and 4 Client Care Co-ordinators. Quality patient care is always at the forefront of what we do – pets are part of the family and we always treat them as if they were our own.
Our general caseload at present is 60% consults and 40% surgery.
The full-time role is 40 hours over 4 days with one earlier finish and (one set) weekday off per week. We would also welcome applications from those looking for a part-time position. There is no OOH’s, however, there will be a share of Saturday mornings (8:30am -12:30pm) on a rota basis.
We are proud to be a part of the White Cross Vets family, a group of 21 clinics across the Midlands / North of England. Here at Roundhay we are lucky to be located in a beautiful suburb of North Leeds, home to one of the largest parks in Europe, lots of lovely restaurants, cafes, and delis. Closely accessible to Leeds City Centre and Harrogate. Within the practice we have in-house lab diagnostic facilities, prep room with separate operating theatre and x-ray room, including dental x-ray, a new Mindray 5 ultrasound machine, laparoscopic equipment alongside all the other mod cons.
“We are a friendly and supportive team, who regularly engage in clinical meetings to strive to give the best care for our patients. Our regular wellbeing afternoons give us that much needed downtime and chance to recharge. These can range from walks in the park, to quizzes and film afternoons. A well-deserved break from the busy day to day life in a veterinary practice! We feel it is important to organise social events outside of work and enjoy food related activities!” – Karen Manners, Clinic Director.
We are lucky to have the added benefit of the support of two neighbouring White Cross practices situated in Guiseley and Eccleshill, who are always happy to help us, as we are to help them. Our wonderful Central Support Team is just a short 30-minute drive down the road!
Our Complete Wellness Plan is utilised by the majority of our clients and we have a very high level of insured pets within the clinic.
