Full time - 37hrs per week
Based at the Guildhall, Gainsborough – Hybrid Working (Excluding Election Periods)
Are you looking for the opportunity to develop your career in local government? Are you interested in gaining wide exposure to and playing a major part in the local democratic process? If so, then this career graded role might be the one for you.
This is a career graded post, and as such we could recruit a highly experienced Officer at Band 9 or the right candidate that could join us and undertake a career progression route starting at Band 7. If you require further details and would like to discuss this opportunity, please contact us.
We are looking for a confident, articulate person with a desire to progress.
Flexibility is the key to this post and you will need to be able to respond to changing priorities. You must be a team player, with the ultimate aim of being able to line manage and motivate staff whilst being able to manage your own workload. You will be required to work to tight deadlines, with attention detail, and we are looking for an effective communicator, both orally and in writing.
Although the hours are 37 per week, this is not a 9 to 5 job throughout planned election periods. You will also be expected to work additional hours, possibly including weekends, at peak times.
You must be proficient in using IT systems to deliver services, with experience of using Xpress Register and Xpress Management highly desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
In return the council offers a great benefits package as well as a warm, friendly, supportive working environment, with many family friendly policies. We are able to offer hybrid and remote working as well as opportunities to develop your career.
