We have a strong can-do culture motivated by protecting the Highway Authority’s interests and achieving the best outcomes for our customers, residents and other stakeholders. The Highway Records Team manages the legal record of the road network within Cambridgeshire as well as dealing with thousands of requests for highway-related information. A methodical and thorough approach is required to manage the Council’s highway records and street gazetteer. Experience and the ability to liaise knowledgeably with a range of stakeholders on complex issues and processes as well as a high standard of written and verbal communication is essential. You will be an adaptable team player with a supportive attitude and will demonstrate commitment to team working to ensure our continuous incoming queries are answered accurately and on time. Strong map reading and interpretation skills are essential with experience of digital mapping desirable. Previous experience of working within a highway records, records management, conveyancing sector or experience in dealing with historical documents, surveying and relevant legislation is desirable. However full training is provided on the job. Please note that although based at Huntingdon Highways Depot, this is a hybrid role offering a mix of office and home working.
