We’re looking for a Design Operations Executive to join and support our 35+ team of Experience Designers. You will work alongside the Design Operations and Design Systems Manager and a team of Product Designers, UX Researchers and Content Designers.
You will ensure that our design team is set up for success. From managing equipment, tools and systems, to understanding, innovating and improving the Bupa design process. You will create safe, collaborative spaces and empower those around you to do their best work.
You will also work with colleagues from across the business, including designers, delivery managers and product owners. You will be helping to improve ways of working, removing blockers and understanding needs to make design processes more efficient.
This is a varied role with lots of different responsibilities, so being highly organised and being able to prioritise your workload is a must.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
1. Create, implement and optimise design processes and workflows to increase efficiency and collaboration.
2. Create documentation and resources to support designers through processes and systems.
3. Own design tools and collaborate with leads to identify new tools and resources to empower designers and researchers to work efficiently. This includes procurement, launch and guidance on adoption.
4. Work with product squads to monitor design metrics. Set benchmarks on design practices and effectiveness and regularly report on design performance.
5. Play a part in facilitating and hosting team sessions and ceremonies, including training and away days.
6. Create and contribute to a positive design culture and promote the culture within the company.
7. Purchasing, tracking and management of equipment. Be the go-to person for hardware queries and maintenance.
8. Onboard new team members, ensuring that new designers have everything they need to settle in quickly and comfortably.
9. Streamline design tasks, allowing for Experience Designers to spend more time on the tools and in-the-file.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
10. Project management skills and experience of design administration, with keen interest in digital and technology.
11. An innovative and curious attitude and the willingness to do things differently.
12. You obsess about the detail and have a huge passion for delivering quality work.
13. You are a collaborative team player
14. You are comfortable communicating with Brand and Marketing Directors and subject matter experts
15. Knowledge of industry standard software would be an advantage (including Figma, Asana, UserTesting.com, Creative Cloud and Crownpeak or similar)
16. Knowledge of procurement systems, purchase orders and other operational systems would be great too
