About the team:
Royal HaskoningDHV is a worldwide engineering, project management and consultancy firm, with 6,000 colleagues spread over 140 countries. Our finance department comprises over 200 finance professionals worldwide. We are a self-motivated team and continuously optimize our operations to supply the best financial support to our stakeholders and ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Invoicing - drive the invoicing process and minimize working capital balances for projects within your portfolio. Identify process improvement opportunities.
2. Business control - Assist with project budgeting, forecasting and reviewing contract documentation.
3. Finance Business Partner - Maintain a close relationship with Project Managers and support them with project control and accounting topics.
4. Policies, procedures and compliance - Ensure the quality of our project administration is of the highest standard, perform internal control and compliance checks on contract documents and invoices.
5. Financial control and accounting for international projects.
What we are looking for:
1. A degree in accounting or a related field and/or studying towards an AAT qualification, alongside 1 + year's work experience in a similar role.
2. A basic understanding of invoicing, with practical experience.
3. An independent and critical thinker with the ability to contribute as part of a team.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
