Removals Operations Supervisor – Greenford, Greater London
Are you an experienced LGV driver looking to transition into transport administration? Our client is seeking a dedicated Removals Operations Supervisor to manage daily operations and ensure a seamless moving experience for their clients. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of scheduling and logistics within the removals industry.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Overseeing and organising removal teams to provide prompt and effective service.
* Managing the distribution of resources, scheduling, and logistics.
* Ensuring adherence to corporate policies and health and safety standards.
* Establishing a constructive team atmosphere while offering guidance and assistance to employees.
* Successfully responding to consumer enquiries and addressing operational problems.
* Monitoring vehicle maintenance and ensuring proper equipment usage.
* Tracking performance indicators and sharing important discoveries.
* Controlling inventory levels and guaranteeing that the required supplies are available.
* Collaborating with other divisions to maximise effectiveness.
* Helping with hiring, educating, and developing employees.
* Putting operational upgrades into practice to improve service delivery.
* Addressing any issues that arise on the job site and solving them immediately.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in removals, logistics, or transport industry.
* Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent team management abilities to motivate and lead a diverse workforce.
* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.
* A valid UK driving licence (LGV licence would be an advantage).
