THE ROLE
A leading global Banking Team in one of the largest North American Banks is seeking a talented and driven Syndications Analyst/Associate to join its London-based team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a professional with 3–5 years of experience in Syndications and/or Origination, with a proven track record in the Infrastructure and Energy sectors. Someone keen to join a smaller but dynamic and busy team where they can get more deal and investor exposure
As part of the Syndications team, you will contribute to structuring, distributing, and executing financing transactions while supporting origination efforts for key clients. The role will suit someone who is keen to join a smaller but dynamic and busy team where they can get more deal and investor exposure.
Key Responsibilities
* Transaction Support: Support the execution of syndicated loan transactions, including deal structuring, credit analysis, and preparation of marketing materials (e.g., term sheets, information memorandums).
* Market Engagement: Collaborate with syndicate lenders and institutional investors to drive transaction distribution strategies.
* Due Diligence: Perform in-depth due diligence on Infrastructure and Energy projects, including analysis of financial models, project documentation, and market conditions.
* Client Interaction: Assist in managing client relationships, providing insights and recommendations in collaboration with senior team members.
* Market Analysis: Research market trends and identify syndication opportunities within the Infrastructure and Energy sectors.
* Documentation: Coordinate with legal teams, advisors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction execution.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in Syndications, Origination, or related fields, with a focus on Infrastructure and Energy sectors.
* Ideally coming from a strong systemic bank with previous exposure to wider European markets
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CFA or similar are advantageous.
* Strong PF / Infra / Energy background
Technical Skills:
* Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* Familiarity with credit analysis tools and lending processes.
* Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality presentations and articulate financial concepts effectively.
* Teamwork: A collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality, particularly under tight deadlines.
