Job Description
Our Engineering Consultancy Service focuses on vehicle electrical, electronics and software design, development and integration. We support automotive manufacturers with innovative engineering solutions from vehicle concept through to after sales and diagnostics services.
The ADAS Project Engineer is responsible for working as a component owner for multi-function and top camera, being the function owner for traffic sign recognition, surrounding view and the system integrator for all camera related functions.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Project management and planning in line with OE process flow.
* Attend group/supplier meetings to keep up to date with all new changes and legislation.
* Review and report on design proposal and implementation.
* Ensure all project stakeholders are aware of the proposals.
* Functional safety ISO26262 sign off for all camera related functions.
* Review specification with supplier(s) to ensure compliance.
* Create and maintain deliver plan, in line with project delivery.
* Specify and agree on a deliver/test plan and detail requirements.
* Planning test trips for validation (UK & EU) and compilation of test reports according to customer standards.
* Engineering signoff for manufacturing line and aftersales service.
* Demonstrate full functionality of feature.
* Liaise with all stakeholders to prove specified requirements are met (Electrical, Package, Quality, Functionality).
* Problem and issue analysis from all management and engineering drive, raising and progressing the tickets within the relevant system.
* Update progress, close problems, sign off tests.
* Software and hardware and dataset version management.
* Present all changes to the Change Control Board for next update and manufacturing release.
Qualifications
* Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
* Experience of working on highly collaborative teams, or other multidisciplinary teams.
* Passionate about automotive and transportation industry.
* Working knowledge of vehicle electrical/electronic systems and/or features.
* Experience using ODIS and IDEX, CANoe, CANape and ADTF desirable.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft office programmes including Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word.
* Hold a full UK driving licence.
