About Your Role
This position within Brett Aggregates is based at our Cliffe Site. The site is one of the largest sand and gravel processing facilities in the UK operating on a 24 hour basis utilising marine dredged ballast inputs, with road, rail and barge outputs primarily supplying the London market. The successful candidate will work as part of the team on a 24 hour shift pattern operating both fixed and mobile plant.
Key Responsibilities
* Safe operation of mobile and static plant
* Load lorries, trains and barges in a timely and professional manner
* Carry out routine inspections
* Carry out routine maintenance tasks
* Keep the site tidy, clear of spillages, and maintain haul roads and bunds
* Promptly report any accidents, incidents or near misses
* Promptly report any changes in material quality
* Work efficiently as part of a team, offering support and assistance where necessary
We're Looking For
* Competence and experience in operation of mobile and/or fixed plant in the mineral processing industry including holding (or working towards) an NVQ
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Mechanical understanding of fixed and mobile plant
* Motivated and flexible, with strong problem solving skills
* Ability to work under pressure
