Your opportunity to join our team
At our Further Processing Plant, we are looking for a Team Leader to join our Meat Inspection department. This role will play a critical part in ensuring our production meets the food safety and quality standards.
As a team leader, you will oversee a group of inspectors responsible for inspecting meat products from all incoming meat suppliers. This role will have you work on AM shift with flexibility needed as per business requirement.

Daily Tasks
* Lead a team providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure effective and efficient inspection operations.
* Ensure that all inspection protocols and procedures are followed, thoroughly examine meat products for safety, quality, and adherence to standards.
* Train and develop the team to enhance understanding of inspection protocols and trends relevant to food safety.
* Oversee inspection findings and maintain accurate records.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders, including production staff, Quality teams, and planners to address adherence to plan and inspection-related issues.
* Ensure meat is delivered on time to production teams to adhere to the production plan.
* Conduct daily stocktakes in the meat inspection room and report on errors.
* Execute the site’s plan with ongoing measurement of performance, achievement of scheduled deadlines, and appropriate resource allocation.
* Liaise with your Supervisor to identify and manage Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards, and risks.
You will bring to this role
* Experience in a high-volume manufacturing industry in a Team Leader position.
* Experience in food manufacturing and/or the FMCG industry will be highly regarded.
* Ability to work in a cold environment.
* Proven communication and leadership skills to lead a team.
* Drive the continual improvement of both processes and people.
* A desire to build team capability through training and transfer of knowledge.
* Computer literate and comfortable using the MS suite.
* Experience managing information related to raw materials, product-in-process, packaging materials, finished products, or packed stock.
* Follow and maintain GMP Compliance.
* Experience driving positive cultural change.
