Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Specialist Public Health Practitioner (Health Visitor) to join our Integrated Healthy Families Team within the Bassetlaw Locality. Bassetlaw Healthy Family Team, provide a quality service delivering the Healthy Child Programme to the local population. We are an integrated service, working with children and young people aged 0 - 19 and their families. Care will be delivered in line with the National and Local guidelines and public health priorities. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies. Main duties of the job You will work as part of a team to deliver universal and targeted health services to the 0-19 year population and will be responsible for the day to day leadership of a defined caseload, managing and supporting a skill mix team. You will be expected to develop excellent partnership working relationships in order to provide seamless services to Children, Young people and their families. This post requires a knowledgeable practitioner with excellent communication skills and a desire to develop their leadership and management skills. You will possess the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visitor) qualification.
