Your role in a nutshell
The Distribution Centre Logistics and Customer Support Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of customer service functions within the distribution centre. This role involves working closely with internal teams, customers, and third-party vendors to coordinate scheduling, orders, resolve issues, and enhance the customer experience. The Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining high standards of service and ensuring that customer expectations are met through effective communication and problem-solving.
More about the role
* Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any issues related to product shipments and returns.
* Ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent service, anticipating customer needs, and striving to exceed customer expectations.
* Work cross-functionally with DC, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations and a high level of customer satisfaction.
* To communicate daily with the relevant personnel both internal and external to resolve customer queries within SLA timelines.
* To contribute to the effective planning of the DC workload, reviewing schedules and supporting DC/Market recommendations as required
* To adapt improvements and learning’s from individual queries to ensure continuous improvement.
* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, returns, and feedback in the company’s order management system. Generate reports as needed to track customer service performance and operational trends.
* To implement and maintain analysis on levels of customer queries to agreed KPI’s. To report on type and levels by channel/market as appropriate to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations.

* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues in a timely and efficient manner.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
* Good understanding of warehouse and distribution processes.
* Ability to coordinate tasks and communicate across multiple functions and teams.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and influence at management level.
* Good understanding of markets and business sales channels to achieve best-in-class customer service.
* Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within a distribution or logistics environment.
* 3-5 years’ experience in Physical Distribution / Logistics for Retail, FMCG, 3PL desirable
