Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Support Technician to provide electrical support tasks to Schools contracts management and site teams within a specified area. The role involves working Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:00, totaling 37.5 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis.
Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role:
* Provide electrical support to management, including PPM, reactive works, and statutory testing of electrical systems such as EML, DBs, etc.
* Maintain up-to-date registers of all requests and external data for records and reference.
* Perform ad hoc duties as reasonably requested by management.
* Adhere to company policies and maintain health and safety standards.
* Ensure personal appearance, including uniform, aligns with company standards at all times.
* Undertake any reasonable tasks assigned by the site manager or supervisor.
Requirements:
* GCSE Mathematics and English or equivalent qualifications.
* Electrical qualifications to 18th Edition.
* Desirable: PAT testing certification.
* Valid ECS and JIB cards.
* City & Guilds 2391-52, Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
* Experience with maintenance, installation, and control systems (e.g., motor controls, lighting controls, control circuits).
* Familiarity with BMS systems.
* Knowledge of electrical installation and mechanical systems (ventilation, pumps, electrics).
* Highly organized, IT proficient, proactive, and self-motivated.
* Team player willing to meet strict deadlines and support beyond basic requirements.
* Ability to follow policies and procedures.
* Willingness to report concerns through prescribed channels.
* Valid driver's license.
* Flexibility to work various hours as needed.
