Utilities organisation require a Category & Sourcing Manager. Applicants need procurement experience within a regulated environment (public sector, utilities) and the ability to add strategic value across the full sourcing lifecycle. The Category & Sourcing Manager will contribute to the development and implementation of category strategies and sourcing plans in collaboration with stakeholder partners. Led by a Senior Category & Sourcing Manager, the jobholder will work across a diverse range of sourcing, contracting and category spend areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for a procurement professional who has perhaps operated at Procurement Officer, Senior Procurement Officer, Category Officer, Category Specialist, Sourcing Manager or Category Manager within the public/regulated sectors, or an Indirect Procurement Buyer, from another industry. Specific duties of the Category & Sourcing Manager include: Develop category specific strategies with stakeholders and procurement colleagues Tendering and sourcing activities in compliance with internal procurement and external policies, processes and frameworks Monitor supplier and contract performance, report and share with procurement colleagues Drive cost reduction through standardisation, aggregation and minimisation of tail spend Support broader commercial and procurement activity to create value with suppliers and minimise TCO Category & Sourcing Manager applicants should meet the following criteria: Procurement experience in a regulated environment; public sector, utilities, third sector etc Experience with or knowledge of, Procurement Act 2023, PCR, UCR, DSCR etc Full procurement lifecycle experience An appreciation of category management and sourcing strategies Excellent stakeholder manager and relationship builder
