As part of our team, you will share our ambition for our communities and join us in delivering a service which supports these ambitions and the priorities of the Council. You will be working with a variety of partners, customers and clients ensuring the delivery of a high-quality professional service that maximises the resources available, delivers positive outcomes and meets the needs of customers and service users.
You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team who currently operate a hybrid working model of home and office-based working at the Civic Centre offices in Motherwell.
You will play a key role within a multi skilled roads maintenance team responsible for maintaining our roads, streetlighting, electric vehicle charging and other council assets. Educated to HNC or equivalent level, or approved electrician status (at NVQ3 / SVQ3 level) you will have experience dealing with street lighting networks and other electrical infrastructure. You will have a strong customer focus and the ability to engage and direct contractors to ensure that work is done timeously and to the appropriate standards.
To be a success in this role you will have experience in the relevant areas, be innovative, solutions focused, a good communicator and be self motivated. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality services to our citizens and communities and you will promote the Council’s vision, values and reputation.
With excellent organisational and IT skills, you will be able to utilise various Microsoft Office packages, works ordering and asset management systems, and be a clear written and verbal communicator.
You will require a full driving licence to undertake the role and must be able to travel throughout North Lanarkshire and out with this area to undertake the duties of this post.

Working Pattern - 35Hours
Monday - Thursday: 8:45am - 4:45pm (including a 55 minute unpaid break)
Friday: 8:45am - 4:15pm (including a 50 minute unpaid break)
