Main duties, tasks & skills required
As a senior employee of the Trust, you will work in close co-operation with, and support other clinical, medical professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcare to the Trust's patients.
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate excellence in patient care
* Have oversight of all team activity during that clinical session and provide support to other registered and non-registered clinical practitioners when needed
* Work effectively in a team & with colleagues from a wide range of professional and organisational backgrounds
* Sustain and develop teaching and training
* Regularly participate in departmental and directorate meetings
* Conduct clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Trust's service plans
* Participate proactively in GIM on call with medical consultant colleagues on a rota basis

Qualifications
Essential
MBBS or equivalent.
MRCP or equivalent.
Entry on the GMC Specialist Register.
Desirable
Higher degree (e.g. MD or PhD).
Experience
Essential
Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required to gain UK CCT in General Medicine and appropriate speciality.
Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of medical problems.
Ability to function as independent operator in relevant procedures.
An understanding of the requirements of Clinical Governance and Audit.
