Overview: We are seeking an HR Office Assistant to assist with various HR functions within our home office team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in administrative or HR support roles who enjoys helping others and is organized and detail-oriented.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage incoming calls and emails.
2. Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation processes.
3. Maintain and update employee records in the HR Information System (HRIS).
4. Conduct reference and background checks for new hires.
5. Assist in recruiting efforts, including screening applicants and scheduling interviews.
6. Serve as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees and candidates.
7. Support audits as needed.
8. Represent the company at outside job fairs, if required.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience supporting a recruiting or HR team. A college degree is preferred.
2. Strong organizational and multitasking skills in an administrative capacity.
3. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management, staff, candidates, and visitors in a professional and timely manner.
4. High attention to detail and accuracy in documenting and maintaining records.
5. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a large volume of work with interruptions.
6. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive candidate and company information.
7. Proficiency with basic PC software packages (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
