Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our quality standards by performing first-off, last-off, and patrol inspections on our precision components. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering drawings and will be proficient in using a wide range of measuring equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform first-off inspections to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
Conduct last-off inspections to verify the quality of completed parts.
Undertake patrol inspections throughout the manufacturing process to maintain consistent quality standards.
Interpret and work from engineering drawings to ensure dimensional accuracy of components.

Utilise a variety of precision measuring equipment, including but not limited to:

Micrometers
*
Verniers
*
Thread micrometers
*
Gauges (e.g., plug, ring, and thread gauges)
*
Accurately document and report inspection results.
*
Identify and communicate any quality issues to the relevant teams.
*
Support the continuous improvement of quality processes and procedures.
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a precision engineering or machine shop environment.
Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, Verniers, thread micrometers, and gauges).
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with production teams.
Knowledge of ISO standards or equivalent quality management systems (desirable).
Familiarity with turned and threaded parts is a plus.
