Key Responsibilities:
* Team Management & Leadership:
* Lead, support, and motivate a team of residential conveyancers to meet departmental objectives and deadlines.
* Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring effective management of case loads, and ensuring deadlines are met.
* Provide guidance and training to junior and senior conveyancers, promoting professional development.
* Conduct performance reviews and facilitate team meetings to promote collaboration and communication.
* Case Management:
* Manage your own caseload of residential property transactions, ensuring a high standard of service delivery from start to finish.
* Oversee complex or high-value transactions handled by the team, offering support and expertise when necessary.
* Ensure legal documents are prepared accurately and that the process complies with all regulations and guidelines.
* Client Interaction:
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their queries are addressed efficiently and professionally.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders in the property process.
* Operational Efficiency:
* Identify areas for improvement within the conveyancing process and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
* Ensure that team members are up to date with all relevant legal changes, best practices, and firm protocols.
* Monitor performance metrics and help identify strategies for continuous improvement in the conveyancing process.
* Compliance & Risk Management:
* Ensure that all transactions comply with legal, regulatory, and firm-specific requirements.
* Monitor and manage risks, ensuring that processes and cases adhere to the highest ethical and legal standards.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven experience in residential conveyancing, with at least 5 years of experience within the field.
* Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team.
* In-depth knowledge of property law and the conveyancing process.
* Strong client service skills, with a client-first approach.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
* A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
* Legal qualifications (e.g., Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor, or equivalent) would be advantageous.
