Our client has a network of 6 offices and this is your change to join their head office in Milton Keynes which accounts for over a third of their headcount.\n\nOur client has a busy project pipeline with numerous secured schemes with repeat clients and this opportunity represents the structured and planned growth of the business, offering a unique role for the successful professional to join an office with a healthy pipeline of work,\n\nThe majority of the work will be new build industrial and logistics (small amount of refurbishment)\n\nWe are currently looking for Cost Managers / Quantity Surveyors – Project level to Associate level.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Conduct detailed cost estimates and analysis for construction projects within leisure, residential, and industrial sectors.\n\n * Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets and client requirements.\n\n * Collaborate with procurement teams to secure tender pricing.\n\n * Identify and mitigate potential risks that may impact project costs.\n\n * Liaise with clients to understand their budgetary constraints and provide cost-effective solutions.\n\n * Monitor project expenditures and provide regular reports on financial performance, including the agreement of final accounts.\n\n * Lead and mentor junior cost management professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.\n\nThe Successful Applicant\n\n * Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.\n\n * Proven experience in cost management within industrial, contracting, or residential\n\n * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.\n\n * Excellent communication and negotiation skills.\n\n * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n\n * Proficiency in relevant software applications such as MS Excel and Cost-X.\n\n * Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential.\n\nApplication Process:\n\nIf you would like more information on this role please email your current CV through to Sally Whittingham; where it will be reviewed and you will be contacted within 48 hours if your CV is of interest, or apply on line
