We are looking for experienced, high-quality care staff who can work a range of shifts.
Experience and a can-do attitude are essential for this role. The shift pattern is 8am - 8pm, 8am - 2pm, 2pm - 8pm & 8pm - 8am but ideally, applicants will be able to do a mixture depending on the needs of the service. Flexibility is a must due to the nature of the service.
Please note that due to the time of year, we are only able to welcome new team members that are able to help with the weeks of Christmas and New Year. You will not be expected to work all of the key dates but we cannot accept applicants who have time booked off over both of these weeks.
We are looking for the following skill sets:
* You’re compassionate and committed with a desire to make a difference to those that you care for, in a positive and patient manner
* Have a genuine interest in working with our client group, residential and Dementia
* Ability to adapt your approach to the individual’s needs and a willingness to learn
* Good communication skills
* Be able to work flexible, 6 hour or 12 hour shifts that will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
* Experience in Health and Social Care is essential
* Good team working skills
* L2 Diploma in Health & Social Care or willing to work towards
The Role
* Ensure the highest quality of care is provided to our residents through their person-centered care plans to achieve and exceed potential
* Promote the right values and attitudes towards people with behaviours described as challenging
* Facilitating recreational activities of the residents' choice
* Liaise with families, friends, advocates, external agencies, and the management team to provide a consistent approach that meets the individual needs of each resident
* Complete records and documentation of progress, incidents, and activities
* Promote and uphold the privacy, rights, dignity, health, and well-being of the individuals
* General housekeeping duties
* Personal care duties
