Your key responsibilities - Design and carry out laboratory investigations to assist in defining solutions to performance killers and cost drivers. - Analyse plant performance data, identify solutions and propose modified operation parameters and procedures for operate plant to optimise performance for SHEQ, cost, yield and supply. - Develop new analytical methods and standards, validate, train and handover to IPC lab as required. - Assist in plant trials and as a member of wider projects or problem-solving teams. - Participate in commissioning of new or modified plant/processes. - Participating in new methods development. - Ability to operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment. - Undertaking ongoing personal development to maintain knowledge of current industry best practice. - Support the Operations, Technical and Quality teams with discipline specific experience and liaise with other discipline specialists as appropriate. - Undertake any other duties as required by the Site Leadership. You bring - The successful candidate will have a degree in a Chemistry related subject and have a minimum of 3 years industrial experience within a regulated environment. - They should have a proven track record of technical competence in laboratory techniques together with problem solving skills. - Candidates must have experience in HPLC and GC analytical method development and be competent in the use of Chromatographic Data Systems. - Candidates should have advanced IT skills, and Lean Six Sigma training of at least yellow belt would be beneficial. - Other essential behaviours are flexibility, self-motivation, attention to detail and a drive for results.
