This is a new role within BHASVIC. We are seeking to appoint a highly literate, calm and friendly administrator with IT skills and a positive, ‘can do’ attitude. You will be able to manage information and data swiftly and accurately and have excellent written English and confidence in using Microsoft Office software and communication tools. With excellent organisational skills, you will be able to work using your own initiative, prioritising your tasks effectively to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
Your main role will be to support the Director of Governance/Clerk to the Governors, but you will also be able to assist the Principal’s EA, the Senior Leadership Team and the wider Reception Team. The role is varied and interesting and will contribute to the smooth running of the Governance administration within the college.
You will work with various College teams using a wide range of software packages. You will receive full training and support on these as required but must be experienced in the use of Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook and be ready to learn other, similar communications software and platforms. You will also be given the opportunity to become a College First Aider and will be First Aid at Work trained and Mental Health First Aid trained should you choose to do so.

Salary: The pro-rata salary is £12,873 per annum (based on spine point 11 of grade 4 in the support staff pay spine, for which the full-time salary is £26,097 per annum). The salary increases annually up to £14,083 over four years (based on a full-time salary of £28,549 per annum). 5.2 weeks’ holiday pay is included in the pro-rata salary, and you will also have access to the Local Government Pension Scheme .
Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week working Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays (exact timings to be agreed), term time only for 40 weeks per year (term time plus 6 days to be worked during the summer holidays). Some of those days will fall during A-Level results week in mid-August onwards.
Contract: Fixed term for one year with a possibility of becoming permanent in the future.
