As a Senior Creative Account Manager, you are responsible for developing strong client relationships and delivering day-to-day support on all client account activity, working in conjunction with the wider business delivery/expertise.
Your responsibility is to ensure that all projects are managed in line with client policies and procedures. You are the pivotal day-to-day contact, liaising with colleagues across various departments including Design, Digital, Studio & Production, trafficking projects through to end delivery.
Working as an integral part of the marketing team, sharing the client’s vision and ethos, and delivering excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Internal/External:
o Build, manage, and develop the client relationship to ensure client expectations are fully met.
o Liaise with all stakeholders daily, develop and write new briefs, and collaborate internally to ensure smooth project management and timely delivery.
o Manage workflow through Creative, Digital, and Studio & Production teams, providing updates to colleagues and clients.
o Identify opportunities to contribute to the clients’ strategy.
o Work with the Account Director to embrace change and offer innovative thinking.
o Act as a brand ambassador for your clients within the agency.
o Prepare documentation for client meetings – weekly status, monthly updates, and quarterly reviews.
o Manage estimating, invoicing, and monthly budget reconciliation accurately.
o Forecast and plan client spending.
o Identify and maximize cost-saving opportunities.
o Identify and introduce new opportunities where appropriate.
o Develop MI to aid future client planning.
o Ensure timely and accurate month-end MI and KPI reports are distributed to clients.
2. Strategy and Leadership:
o Understand competitors and market positioning.
o Be knowledgeable about the clients’ sector and mindful of strategic changes.
o Instill a good understanding of business strategy within your team.
o Share understanding of client accounts with the wider team.
o Develop Client Development Plans for key clients, identifying new initiatives.
o Collaborate with the Account Director on delivering additional service lines.
3. People Management:
o Liaise with the wider Account Management team to ensure resource alignment with client needs, holding regular 1-2-1 meetings with the Account Director.
o Develop Account Managers to confidently communicate our services to clients.
o Manage workload effectively, seeking opportunities to grow and develop.
o Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues and internal departments.
4. Operational:
o Manage and communicate campaign budgets and timelines.
o Produce minutes from review meetings and circulate as agreed.
o Keep clients informed about new developments.
o Offer proactive advice throughout project delivery.
o Be flexible in workload and task allocation to meet client demands.
o Resolve issues, escalating to the Account Director as needed, including contract risks.
