Job Description
This role is responsible for coordinating the asset adoption process, ensuring a smooth, accurate and efficient experience for our customers, while upholding a high standard of technical and customer service excellence.
Ensure all submitted ‘as built’ documents are technically reviewed and approved in line with design and legal documentation. Enter all appropriate asset information into our asset database Ultimo.
Manage connection applications to our network including G98/G99, disconnections, diversions, load increase/decrease etc. Review information provided by customers and work with the design team to provide work offers.
Managing asset location enquiries for customers working in vicinity of our assets and provide them with accurate asset records and prepare asset location records for upload into the NUAR system.
Support the Network Performance team with the implementation and review of processes, reporting and assurance frameworks to ensure safety & compliance requirements are met including obtaining ISO55001 accreditation.
Main responsibilities will include:
* Responsible for network asset document control process to allow asset adoption to take place.
* Monitor and report on ‘work in progress’ and backlogs of adoption acceptances and outstanding submissions.
* Coordinate the creation, review, and issuance of adoption certificates, ensuring timely signoff by the Design Manager, and maintain accurate records for audit and compliance.
* Ensure the timely technical review and approval of 'as built' records, verifying alignment with industry standards and company design criteria.
* Liaise with the wider asset team to ensure asset register database and SharePoint are updated with quality information.
* Manage network applications within standard timescales.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
Essential:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Document and process control experience, preferably in a technical activity.
* The ability to interpret documents containing electrical engineering drawings, plans and technical reports to ensure consistency of document control within IT systems.
* Excellent process efficiency skills, with focus on attention detail.
* IT literate with proficiency with the use of Microsoft packages with the ability to learn to use and develop other software packages. E.g. Monday.com & Ultimo.
Desirable:
* Experience in document control within a construction and management of assets activity.
* Experience working with a DNO, IDNO or utility industry dealing with similar asset information and connection requests.
* Knowledge of the philosophy and principles relating to the design of electricity distribution networks.
* Broad knowledge of the electricity industry Standards, Recommendations, Specifications and Legislation relevant to the construction and operation of electricity distribution networks.
* Familiarity with GIS platforms or mapping software, such as QGIS, to support accurate asset location management.
