Job Title: Apprentice IT Hardware Technician

Key Responsibilities:
1. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Conducting minor repairs and resolving technical issues.
2. System Checks: Factory default and BIOS resets, verifying Autopilot isn't assigned to an account, and testing laptop keyboards, touchscreens, and screens for dead pixels and pressure marks.
3. Inventory Management: Adding items to stock using our ERP system.
4. Shipping: Packaging goods for delivery to customers.
5. Collaboration: Working with the team leader and manager to resolve issues and keeping them informed on progress.
6. Cross-Departmental Work: Gaining experience in other departments, such as engineering, quality control, and customer support. This includes configuring, updating, and adding Windows to devices, handling RMAs, and ensuring a clear audit trail.
7. Policy Adherence: Following company policies such as equality and diversity, health and safety, and data protection.
Minimum Requirements:
1. 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
2. GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
3. Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject.
4. A combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme may also be considered.
5. A genuine passion for IT hardware - ideal for someone who enjoys fixing laptops and PCs as a hobby.
6. A proactive and detail-oriented individual with a desire to learn and develop.
7. Ability to commute to Ribchester - reliable transport is essential.
Salary and Benefits:
Starting salary of £6.40 per hour, with an incentive bonus available after a 6-month probation. Salary increase to £7.55 per hour from April. 30 days annual leave (including bank holidays). Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Comprehensive benefits package, including:

Future Prospects: 90% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer ongoing development tracks.
