About the Role
We’re recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading name in the packaging industry, who is searching for a dynamic and detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team in Yate.
Key Responsibilities
1. Demand Planning: You will be responsible for managing long lead time demand planning, ensuring that forecasts are accurate and reflect market trends and customer demands. Your strategic insight will be crucial in maintaining an efficient supply chain.
2. Sea Freight Management: As an expert in sea freight, you will oversee all aspects related to the import and export of goods via sea routes, ensuring compliance with international regulations and efficient coordination with shipping agents.
3. Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excessive surplus. Implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce holding costs.
4. Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners. Negotiate favourable terms and ensure that suppliers deliver on time and in full.
5. Process Improvement: Identify areas within the supply chain process that can be improved. Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, production, and financial departments to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with business objectives.
Who We’re Looking For
1. Experience: You must have proven experience in long lead time demand planning and a solid understanding of sea freight logistics.
2. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions.
3. Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
4. Proactive Approach: A proactive and hands-on approach, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Hours:
* Monday to Friday 8:00am till 17:00pm
Salary: £30,000 per annum
